| After a number of years of supporting my husband to become a qualified Clinical Psychologist we have achieved a level of stability and financial security that will enable me to pursue my goal of training to become a veterinary nurse. I have a number of years experience in retail management it has become increasingly clear how a sense of fulfilment from your job is essential. Selling people furniture can not equal supporting animals and their owners' in their health care needs. Previously when considering pursing a career in veterinary nursing I realise that it is easy to approach the subject of working with animals with naivety and fantasy. Now having extensively researched the subject and patiently waited for my husband to complete his training I am fully prepared to take on the rigors of training and employment in a veterinary environment. My previous experience has equipped me with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. I posses very good organisational skills, I am trustworthy and reliable and I am totally committed to any task I am required to do regardless of how menial. I have a philosophy that every task with in an organisation serves the purpose of supporting other tasks to happen and thus supporting the work of the organisation to be achieved bottom up and vice-a-versa. I am now actively pursuing my goal and I am asking for the opportunity within a practice to achieve this. |
